Gas mixing with controlled humidity in a single instrument
The IGM-RH from Gometrics Instruments is a gas mixer and humidifier for calibration laboratories, instrumentation testing and R&D. It prepares mixtures from reference gases and conditions their humidity in a single instrument, delivering the gas composition and humidity level required for each test.
The instrument accepts two reference cylinders with different concentrations, which can operate simultaneously, and a balance-gas inlet for dilution using pure clean gas or dry air. Channel CH1 is humidified and mixed with the balance gas to produce a controlled humid output. Gas types and components are configurable to suit different test procedures.
Each channel controls flow with full-scale ranges from 8 to 25,000 ml/min, accuracy better than ±1% of reading and repeatability better than ±0.2%. These capabilities provide consistent, repeatable test conditions for assessing gas analysers and sensors.
Its robust construction supports benchtop use or panel mounting for integration into existing laboratories and instrumentation systems.
Features
• Two reference gases with different concentrations can operate simultaneously, with a balance-gas inlet for dilution.
• Controlled humidification of CH1, mixed with the balance gas to provide a humid output.
• Flow control from 8 to 25,000 ml/min full scale, with independent full-scale ranges for each channel.
• Per-channel accuracy < ±1% of reading and repeatability < ±0.2% of reading.
• Configurable gas types and components.
• Benchtop or panel mounting, with a universal 100–260 VAC power supply.
Benefits
• Two functions in one instrument: gas mixing and humidification.
• Versatile operation with different reference gases and test procedures.
• Reproducible tests through consistent, controlled humidity conditions.
• Easy integration into existing laboratories and instrumentation systems.
• Robust construction for stable operation within the specified operating conditions.
Applications
• Calibration laboratories: generate controlled humidity conditions for testing gas measurement instruments.
• Gas analyser and sensor calibration: condition reference gases to assess instrument response.
• Instrumentation testing: simulate environmental conditions with humidity-controlled gas mixtures.
• Research and development: investigate gas and sensor behaviour.
• Quality control: verify gas analysis equipment under known humidity conditions.
• Industrial processes: condition gas streams that require humidity control.
